Message from our customer:
As a person with previous experience of and great love for ceramics, this course leaped out at me as being of great interest. I am mostly self-taught in Japanese, though I have also had some lessons. Speaking the language was a great gift when travelling, and I was overcome by the warmth of strangers towards a foreigner such as myself: in no other country have I felt so welcome. Of course, this too counts for my experience in Tajimi, where Shibata-sensei was very kind to me and E.p (the latter of whom had never worked with clay before). Shibata-sensei was very patient and an excellent teacher. We experienced great kindness from the classes at the ceramics studio, and made friends with everyone there. The visit to Tajimi Pottery School was very memorable, and I hope to return to Tajimi, or at the very least, another ceramics town someday. The organisation of the logistics by Nagamine-san was perfect, with every care taken.
The presence of Ms. H, our translator, was really valuable. Both she and Shibata-sensei were very generous towards us. (from M.V.W)
I liked the course as it was great fun and I’d be glad to do it again sometime. I discovered I was capable of doing pottery and surprised myself. Everyone was very kind to us. (from E.P)
Special Thanks to M.V.W and E.P
